Wifi in Schools Possibly Carcinogenic?

Wifi in Schools Possibly Carcinogenic

Wifi in Schools and in Homes

Around the world an increasing number of governments and authorities have banned or warned against the use of Wi-Fi in schools. Many expert scientists and doctors are warning the public to take a precautionary approach.

What is Wifi radiation?

Wi-fi technology transfers data wirelessly using microwave radiation using the same range of radiation frequencies used in mobile phones, cordless phones and microwave ovens though at a much lower power level.

Why is this of concern?

The world health organisation has categorised all radio frequency radiation as possibly carcinogenic. Kids absorb more radiation than adults and sit in classrooms and are exposed to wi-fi all day. In addition reported short term symptoms include headaches, dizziness, insomnia, anxiety, loss of concentration, loss of memory, eye problems, fatigue, weakness, numbness, tingling, blood pressure, skin problems, nausea and more serious long term effects like infertility and DNA damage.

What action is being taken?

Scientists and Doctors around the world are calling for precautionary measures to prevent potentially harmful exposure to children.
The following is a list of government, health or education based bodies that recommend against, or oppose, Wi-Fi in schools:

The Council of Europe, the French National Assembly, the German Government, the Frankfurt City Government, the Bavarian Parliament, the Public Health Department of Salzburg, Russian National Committee on Non-Ironizing Radiation Protection, the Austrian Medical Association, The European Environmental Agency.
In addition individual schools in the UK, Canada and France have dismantled their wireless communications in exchange for wired ones.
